The effort of the climb is rewarded by spectacular views of the mountains mixed with the surrounding lakes. At the top, there is a tower that is open to the public. If you like heights, this is your chance.

This 2721-foot mountain is an accessible summit hike and has some cool geological features including a unique chimney formation and an intricate network of caves and crevices. The Trail has an elevation gain of 870 feet, leading you to the chimney and, beyond it, the true summit for a 360-degree panoramic view

This is one of New York's highest peaks, with a 70-foot tower and awesome views of the West Canada Lakes Wilderness to the south and the High Peaks to the north. The steel fire tower was established in 1916 and is part of the Hamilton County Fire Tower Challenge. The trail to the summit includes a mix of old dirt road and wooded terrain, and a moderate climb at the end.

Castle Rock is a cool geological formation with an amazing overlook at the summit. The climb involves some scrambling over thick roots and rocks, so just take your time and be careful going up.

Snowy Mountain is a challenging but rewarding fire tower summit. At close to 3,900 feet, the view is quite nice but can mainly be appreciated from the fire tower since it is above treeline. There is some boulder scrambling at the summit to reach the fire tower, so come prepared and be careful.

This is one of the most popular fire tower summits in the Adirondacks. It follows a well-marked trail and offers great views of surrounding peaks and Blue Mountain Lake. The tower was closed in the 1990s but has since been restored and opened to the public.
