If you're looking for a scenic and easy hike in the Friborg Alps, you should visit Les Alpettes, a grassy peak that offers 360° views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. You can start from the village of Semsales and follow the yellow signs to the chapel of Notre-Dame du Niremont, then continue to the large chalet des Alpettes, where you can admire the traditional wooden roof. From there, you can climb to the cross and the highest point of the Alpettes (1413 m), and enjoy the panorama of the Moléson, the Teysachaux and the Niremont.

Nestled in the heart of green Gruyère, the charming little village of Vaulruz has, in addition to its castle, a beautiful parish church whose bell tower is reminiscent of other sanctuaries in the region, such as Bulle, Riaz or Prez-vers- Noréaz.
