マニフィックなレ・ダン・デュ・ミディの眺め

Halfway along the Dents-du-Midi tour. Easy but quite long route. Very beautiful view of Lake Geneva at the start of the route then over the Illiez valley to Champéry. Some parts are a bit boring, you can't see the end! Possibility of stopping before the descent from the Antème hut and its very beautiful lakes. Very mineral place at the foot of the Dent-du-Midi where you can notice the very beautiful white layer, a sedimentary rock from the Cretaceous period (between 145 and 66 million years ago)

Breathtaking view

At an altitude of 1,962 metres, the Croix du Culet majestically dominates Champéry. It faces the Dents du Midi, an impressive chain of seven 3,000-metre peaks.

The Plateau de Barme is located close to the French border. It was once a place of smuggling. Today it reveals beautiful meadows and a gentleness dear to Swiss mountain pastures. There you will find a few canteens to enjoy good local meals, all in a sumptuous alpine setting.

The Champéry resort is one of the oldest tourist places in Switzerland and the first Olympic site in Valais, after hosting the curling events during the 2020 Olympic Games. The village reveals a unique charm and authenticity with its streets picturesque villages bustling with small shops.

Located on the Plateau de Barme, the Dents Blanches canteen offers good meals made from regional products in a magnificent setting. It is an ideal stopover when cycling or when you want to tour the Dents Blanches.

This gravel track winds through the mountain pastures and offers beautiful perspectives of the surrounding mountains. The slope is regular and does not present any difficulty. The path leaves the banks of the Vièze to reach the Col de Cou located at an altitude of 1117 meters.
