£20 for a bit of ruin is relatively high. Along with the Tide Mill it was okay. If you only want to do a short hike, just walk past the outside...you can also go to the mill.

A small, very pretty holiday resort. Wide, flat sandy beach at low tide, but also plenty of space at high tide. Pretty harbor, breathtaking views from above. Please note: between May 1st and September 30th, dog restrictions apply to the entire beach except for a small area just before Coppet Hall Beach.

Considered to be one of South Wales' finest castles, Carew Castle occupied a strategically important spot on a crossing point of the Carew River. Constructed at the end of the 11th century, today it's a mightily impressive ruin. It's clearly a site that has attracted humans for thousands of years, as there have also been pieces of Roman pottery discovered nearby, as well as evidence of an Iron Age settlement.

Colby Woodland Garden is a glorious National Trust site, occupying a beautiful spot in a tranquil wooded valley, just to the north of Amroth. Originally part of the Colby Estate, it's free to enter for National Trust members, though there's a fee for non-members. The garden's collection of rhododendrons and azaleas is one of the finest in the country.

A lovely hidden wooded valley, a secret walled garden and a 900-acre estate at Colby Woodland Garden on the Pembrokeshire coast. The cafe, toilets and gallery is only a short walk from here.

Saundersfoot is a pretty little seaside village with bags of character including a harbour and a popular stretch of golden sandy beach. Busy in summer, have it all to yourself out of season.

Tenby is home to a number of Pembrokeshires most iconic views, and the view of the Harbour from the North Beach is at the very top of the list. Bright and pastel-coloured townhouses and cottages overlook the harbour and golden sands of North beach.

Colby Woodland Gardens is a beautiful National Turst owned property (the house is private). Featuring acres of meadow at the foot of a woodland valley that is a riot of colour when the rhododendron are in bloom. Free entry, cycle racks in the car park and a really excellent tea room and local crafts gallery make this a must stop-off on your journey.

Slightly more sheltered from the south and therefore warmer.

Walked from Lydstep Haven to Tenby South beach. Ascent and decent is quite rocky and uneven so appropriate footwear is a must

From here you have a beautiful view of the castle and the lake in front of it.
