Great coffee and cake

Penally is just a short hop from the popular seaside resort of Tenby and gives access to some glorious coastline. Nearby Giltar Point is particularly scenic, with views out to Caldey Island and even to the distant island of Lundy on clear days. Penally's limestone cliffs are home to razorbills, fulmars and various species of gull – a real treat for birders.

An excellent cafe for either a quick coffee or full on meal. Very fresh and seasonal menu.

The foundation stone of this church was laid on August 6, 1867 and twelve months later the church was opened for worship services. The original building included a sacristy and facilities, the tower and spire with the clock were added in 1908. Designed to meet the needs of the congregation at the time it provided a sanctuary for the proclamation of the Gospel to the community in worship services and music. The high gabled ceiling is supported by antique cast iron twisted pillars with gold leaf.

The local parish church is dedicated to St Nicholas & St Teilo. It was originally called St Nicholas, but that was changed in the late 19th century. It is suggested that Penally was the birthplace of St Teilo, a Christian leader in the 6th century. A small, very pretty holiday resort. Wide, flat sandy beach at low tide, but also plenty of space at high tide. Pretty harbor, breathtaking views from above. Please note: between May 1st and September 30th, dog restrictions apply to the entire beach except for a small area just before Coppet Hall Beach.

Beautiful, but gets very busy in the summer

Manorbier Bay is considered to be one of the prettiest spots in Wales. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and dunes, the sandy shoreline is overlooked by the 12th-century Church of St James, the medieval Manorbier Castle and King’s Quoit, a neolithic chambered tomb. Swimming and surfing are both popular activities here. And at low tide, rock pools are revealed. Due to its beauty and setting, the beach can get busy, especially on fine summer days.

Manorbier Castle is a Norman fortification that occupies a commanding position overlooking Manorbier Beach. With fairytale turrets, a great hall, a chapel and landscaped gardens, it’s a great place to explore. The castle was founded in the late 11th century by the Anglo-Norman de Barry family.

Saundersfoot is a pretty little seaside village with bags of character including a harbour and a popular stretch of golden sandy beach. Busy in summer, have it all to yourself out of season.
