The River Bure is a navigable river which flows into Breydon Water in Great Yarmouth. Coltishall bridge about 10 miles inland is the head of navigation, the furthest larger boats can get.

As of 9th May 2023, parts of Marriotts Way north of Drayton are a total mudbath and only suitable for MTBs. The surface coming into Norwich is worn out and bumpy but at least dry.

Nice scenic place to pass by rather than a place to stop, a little room at the side of the road but mostly fenced off.

Organised cycle rides set off from The Parson Woodforde in Weston Longville every week. The pubs owners have teamed up with Wensum Valley Cycling to offer organised rides on Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Whether you are a club rider, a complete beginner or enthusiast, you are welcome to go along and ride. The club welcomes visitors and you can ride with them 3 times before a membership is required. Built in 1790, Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia and the only independtly-run lighthouse in the UK. The iconic tower is painted white with three red bands and is 85 feet (26 meters) tall. The light can be seen up to 18 miles (29 km) away. St Edmund’s church in Taverham has an unusual outer appearance with its thatched chancel which looks slightly higher than the nave. The tower here has 11th century origins, with a lower, west slit window having a flint frame. Higher up on the south side is a stone-framed window, which indicates later 11th century work.
