If you do this hike then you will save the parking and entry charges at Stonehenge (£30 ish). If you pay you get to go closer to Stonehenge (about 30m) but you get to within 70m on this walking route. You simply end up on the other side of the fence to the ticket purchasers. Nice track that goes from Palestine to outside Salisbury. Has many routes you can take off from the track to get to the likes of Boscombe Down/Amesbury etc. Rides nice all year round. Fantastic sunset to be seen along here to once out of the trees and into the fields. Great spot of you like trains too.
