Can be muddy in the centre section but still a nice traffic free route.

Mostly well drained but this January muddy in parts. Nothing unrideable, though.

Pop at the top 30mph+

Just in front of this shop are a few rudimentary wooden tables outside and perhaps some bicycles for sale (indication of 'Bike Shop' on the window). In Belgium, this store corresponds best to a thrift store. Free in & out and at the very back of the store is a counter with thermoses of hot water and coffee. Wide choice of tea & serve yourself is the message. The toilet is located in the hallway past the counter. A bucket with a lid allows you to make a donation. You can relax on the terrace outside and with a bit of luck you can find someone there for a nice chat. (fun fact: the bikes are offered at 'astronomical prices', bidding is the message and is supposed to be done - dixit the Irishman).

A beautiful way through Calne following the Wiltshire & Berkshire Canal and the River Marden.

A truly magnificent cycleway! Fairly flat and lots of fun.
