Steep Steps down to the river and for view of the aqueduct are on the Bradford on Avon side.

From Bath to here on a road bike with 25mm is doable but take it easy, further on, its a little rougher and 35mm would be better. here is a good stop of lunch or a drink

I enjoy going up more than down - a bit stony. But gorgeous views.

As noted previously this (relatively short) path does avoid some of London Road, and the short ride by the river is nice, but although I use if fairly regularly I've never thought of it as a highlight of any ride. It's simply a good alternative to the paved road
