Lac Ribou is a beautiful lake where you can admire the view of the water and the surrounding forest. The trail is moderately difficult, with some elevation gain and varied terrain. It is open all year round and is suitable for dogs on a leash.

Lac du Verdon is an artificial lake created by a dam on the Moine. It extends over 220 hectares and offers a variety of landscapes, from bocage to forest to plain. You can circle the lake on a path of around 18 km, or take a shorter route that connects the lake to Lac de Ribou. Along the way, you will be able to appreciate the richness of the flora and fauna of the region, in particular the birds which find refuge in this nature reserve. Lac du Verdon is the ideal place to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature.

The dam was built in 1977 and completed in 1979. It is owned by the town of Cholet, and its main purpose is to provide drinking water and irrigation to the region. The dam is made up of two parts: a curved rock dike on the upstream side, and a core reinforced with six concrete arches. The dam is 27 meters high and approximately 800 meters long. The dam has a capacity of 14 million cubic meters of water.
