Straight, smooth road through a quaint village

This charming country road offers scenic views of rolling hills and surrounding farmland, especially beautiful in spring when the flowers are in full bloom.

Chesteron Windmill was built in 1632 and is one of the oldest surviving windmills in England. It was originally used for grinding corn and has a rich history ties to the agricultural practices of the region.

Moreton Paddox was the name of a country manor house which stood in this area until 1959 when it was demolished. It was a grand house with formal gardens and an ornamental lake, although little evidence remains.

The quiet tree-lined back roads to the north of Redditch, in particular around the Aspley Heath and Portway area, are simply quite blissful to ride on. Here you can enjoy the serenity of lush green countryside, leefy country roads, gentle undulating terrain, and tranquil surroundings, which seems totally at odds with the multitude of nearby urban environments.
