Nynehead Hollow is a super cool landmark on the outskirts of Nynehead Village. The road has literally been roughly carved through solid rock, with high walls and trees growing above.

Great food and coffee, friendly staff, outdoor seating, and bike parking. Also food and drink allergy options, a loyalty card, plus they are dog friendly. If I remember correctly, open every day 10 to 4, possibly different at the weekend.

4 cycle rails alongside the wall, so not getting in the way. Plus it's undercover.

Heading west, it's a smooth climb, but popular with dogs and their walkers. Some of the corners are quite tight, so sing out. Or a merry tinkle of your bell. It's nice to be nice.

Swoopy little single track road with plenty of corners and a ridge of dirt down the middle to catch the unwary. A fun country lane!

Beautiful section of the towpath below Beacon Hill.

Grade II-listed bridge over the Grand Western Canal just outside Tiverton. Lovely peaceful spot.

Great beer and food pub.

Very narrow and overgrown, with poor lines of sight, and surprisingly busy on a Saturday morning.

The Museum cafe is well worth a visit for the cheese scone alone.

Taunton Independent Market, an unexpected find.

This is one of Taunton's best kept secrets. The food is always fresh from their own farm, the staff are very attentive, very efficient. Of particular mention is the Sunday roast, it is always advisable to book a table, being popular has its drawbacks 😀
