Great gravel road towards Czernica

On March 21, 1944, fighting broke out between partisans and the Nazi gendarmerie and SS units in the village of Męcikał in the Chojnice district.

The lake covers an area of 1,363.8 hectares, is approximately 9 km long, and between 420 m and 2.1 km wide. It has an average depth of 9.8 m, and a maximum depth of 30.5 m.

Beautiful bridge over which the cycle path leads over the Brda, far away from the busy road.

In Chojnice, the gates represented an essential element of the city's defenses. In front of each gate was a drawbridge, defended on the other side by bridgehead towers. In the case of the Człuchów Gate, these were called "Elephant" and "Bull." The six-story Człuchów Gate was built on a square plan in the Pomeranian Gothic style. The ground floor is the entrance area, which also includes a door that probably led to the rooms containing the mechanism for raising the portcullis and the bridge.
