I wanted to visit the church's interior, but the main portal and the first door on the right were locked. I wanted to leave and thank the friendly lady who told me that the second door on the right was open. The church is simple and beautiful, proving that Catholic churches can be beautiful even without gilding. The best thing about the cafe is the peace and quiet. I only had two cakes, so I cycled to the Altinger bakery. Strangely, the cafe is closed on Sundays.

Very nice alpine hut, friendly service, delicious snacks, interesting restrooms 👍🏻 Good alternative, as the Dreiangelhütte is apparently closed at the moment (June 2025). Unfortunately, there are no signs along the trail either 😩

Very beautiful landscape and view. Great route. Unfortunately, after rain and after winter, the path surface is very soft, muddy and covered in puddles.

The Zötler Brewery Rettberg, better known as Zötler Beer, is a traditional brewery in the Allgäu. The private Zötler brewery has a history spanning centuries and is considered one of the oldest breweries in the world. A document documents the purchase of a piece of land by the innkeeper Conrat Bach. Since a tavern owner in the Middle Ages almost always brewed his own beer, it is reasonable to assume that he was the first brewer in Rettenberg and that this brewery later became today's Zötler brewery. The Zötler family runs the company and combines tradition and innovation in beer production. The Zötler brewery offers tours where visitors can gain an insight into the art of brewing beer. In addition, the brewery is closely linked to the regional gastronomy and its beers are an integral part of Allgäu cuisine. So there are opportunities to drink a Zötler!
