What a memorable place to remind us all onthe value of peace. And well done integration of the new church next to the remainders of the cathedral. On the downside: the amusement park like atmosphere in the cathedral ruins with e.g. an ice cream truck does not really honor the memory in my view.

Gas Street Basin

Cycling along the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal is a fantastic way to experience a mix of urban and rural scenery. The towpath offers a smooth and relatively flat ride, making it accessible for cyclists of all levels. As you pedal along, you’ll pass a blend of industrial landmarks, green spaces, and historic canal architecture, including locks and old brick bridges.

Barker Bridge over the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal Grade II listed cast iron road bridge on Lower Loveday Street dated 1842 probably from Horseley Ironworks.

Babbs Mill Lake sits in the Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve and has a designated cycle path running right the way through. There are benches dotted around and ample open space for a sit-down and picnic. Make sure to say hi to the local wildlife who you'll spot milling around the lake.

This former church in Coventry was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The name (from the Hebrew language) means "Who is like God?" He is often depicted - in paintings or as a statue - with a flaming sword, occasionally with a lance. Michael is - together with Raphael and Gabriel, and occasionally Uriel is also included - one of the three or four archangels who (according to human belief) occupy the highest rank in the heavenly hierarchy of angelic beings. Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is September 29th.

Entrances both sides of Packington Avenue have barriers, they are wide and easy to pass with a standard bike and not too difficult with a trailer

The network of Canals is simply superb to ride on here and not far away you disused railway Harbourne plus a bit further route ncr5 to sandwell valley .. anybody using Strava give me a follow please ..Pork Hocks .. CXanal towpath tours is the group i have as well .. cheers
