Nice easy flat ride. Can be busy with walkers and other cyclists, particularly on weekends. Early mornings are the best, with so much birdsong and wildlife. Take a moment to enjoy the view of the Weir, which usually has a row of gulls fishing on it.

Cathedral Close winds its way through the grounds of Llandaff Cathedral, where you can take in the in the striking 12th century architecture. You can easily stop and explore the grounds, and be sure to visit the Old Bishop’s Palace, a medieval fortress located at the junction of Cathedral Close and High Street.

This weir attracts a multitude of birds in particular in the summer - soaking their feet and enjoying some chat
