Grade 3 whitewater rapids course

Regatta Lake at Holme Pierrepont Country Park. Nice perimeter track to run and watch the rowing action.

This 270-acre country park boasts lots of adventurous activities from walking trails to water-based fun, as well as hosting international rowing, triathlon and other sporting events.

Cyclist friendly, loads of outdoor space out back. Good beer and pizza too.

Standing in the middle of Flintham is like stepping back in time. This could easily be a set from a Miss Marple's film. It's origins go back much further than that though. Historians think it sprang up in Roman times as a spinal village for the Fosse Way, or the A46.

The Holme Pierrepont Country Park is home to the national water sports centre. There is a long boating lake used for water sport racing and swimming/triathlon events. There is also a multi-user trail around the lake and footpaths exploring the 270-acre country park away from the lake shores. The lakeside trail gets busy with events or families and bikes at weekends, but the footpaths are never too busy for a nice walk.

Be prepared to climb a style and cross 100m of a grass field.
