The urban area of Maderuelo has been declared a site of cultural interest due to its magnificent state of conservation. The town extends elongated on a promontory and preserves the medieval wall and some of the entrance doors. Currently, it stands over the Linares del Arroyo reservoir and the views are incredible.

Walking through the streets of San Esteban de Gormaz we find ourselves in front of the church of Nuestra Señora del Rivero, a Romanesque work from the 12th century. Without a doubt, it is worth visiting if we are in the area.

Miño de San Esteban is a small town on the Camino del Cid that houses the impressive church of San Martín, from the 12th century. The Romanesque temple has a defensive tower and a doorway on the south wall with totally unexpected archivolts and capitals.

San Esteban de Gormaz was called Castromoro in the 9th century. Its location on the banks of the Duero has given it great historical and strategic importance over the centuries. This river was the natural border between the Muslim and Christian kingdoms. In 1187 the first courts of Castile were held here.
