The Węgorzewski Canal is a picturesque section of the Masurian waterway network, connecting Lake Mamry with the port in Węgorzewo. Less than a kilometer long, it runs alongside the Węgorapa River, and its banks create a pleasant place for walking and cycling thanks to a modernized pedestrian and bicycle path. It's a peaceful place where you can observe waterfowl and beavers, and in summer, relax at the nearby Mamry municipal beach.

The view is great, but Śniardwy is somewhere else ;-)

Sztynort is a legendary place in Masuria. Every experienced sailor knows this place well, and new sailors should definitely visit it. You can get here by land or by water. Spend the night in a bunk or in a hotel. Experience a crazy party and the harmony of nature.

On either side of the bridge are two beautiful lakes.

Lake Kirsajty is a picturesque body of water connecting Lake Mamry and Lake Dargin, located in the heart of Masuria, ideal for cyclists who enjoy quieter areas with beautiful views. Along its shores there are intimate trails leading through forests and fields, and in good weather you can admire sailboats passing through the canals. It is worth planning a stop at the bridge in Przystań, from where there is a great view of the water and the surrounding islands. The roads are sandy or gravel in places, so a trekking bike is the best choice, and it is worth checking the forecast before setting off, because it gets slippery after rain. This is a good place for a quiet trip away from the crowds, especially out of season.

Lake Dargin is one of the larger lakes in Masuria, located on the Great Masurian Lakes Trail, ideal for cyclists planning a longer route surrounded by water and forests. On the shore you will find numerous wild beaches and quiet bays, which are great for a break on the route. In the area, it is worth seeing the Sztynort bridges and visiting the nearby port in Sztynort, where you can eat something warm and relax. The roads around the lake are varied - asphalt, gravel and forest, so a trekking bike with solid tires will be the best choice. In summer, it is worth taking mosquito repellent and a supply of water, because the sections between towns can be quite empty.
