What a spectacular structure we see today, it has survived the passage of time and the attacks of its inhabitants, not without a few historical vicissitudes. Most likely of Muslim origin, its history begins in the 13th century, until the withdrawal of the French in 1812 left the fortress almost destroyed. Due to numerous reconstructions, it can be visited today, although, understandably, only a small part of what it was in its day of greatest splendor remains.

This monumental bullring was inaugurated in 1857 where there was an old convent known as San Nicasio, founded at the beginning of the 15th century. The inauguration date was that year of 1857 in which the bullfighter "Lagartijo" took the alternative, the same one who later inaugurated the Baeza bullring.

In the municipality of Canena, the Canena Castle is a Renaissance-style building built in the 16th century: it was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and is one of the most important in Andalusia.

It is a rock hermitage of Visigoth origin and is made up of three caves excavated in the rock. This historical-artistic monument in the middle of the Alcobilla hill is worth visiting.

The San Nicasio arena bullring was built in 1846. The round, stone-walled arena has a seating capacity of 5,200. The arena is an important cultural historical building in the city of Úbeda.

The Giribaile reservoir is located on the slopes of the La Lambra area and was built between 1993 and 1997 to collect water from the Mar de La Loma river. The water from the reservoir submerged the 16th century Ariza bridge.
