One of my favorite roads for training. A beautiful forest, with both coniferous and mixed deciduous trees. It looks great in any season. And during the right time of year, you can even enjoy some blueberries along the bike path.

Many people from Ueckermünde still know him as a Ueckermünde original: Walter Schultz, whom everyone called Fidel-Schultz. The small, lively Ueckermünde native went from bar to bar with his accordion, performed at family celebrations and was no stranger to sadness. In the city of Ueckermünde's anniversary year, a bronze sculpture of Fidel-Schultz was inaugurated on November 26, 2010 at the Old Bollwerk in front of the new tourist information center. The artist Christian Paschold, who lives near Erfurt, made this figure as a result of an invitation competition organized by the city. Walter Schultz's widow, her daughter and granddaughter were present at the ceremonial unveiling of the bronze figure and were very pleased with the successful work.
