This castle stands on the impressive Alacranejo hill and, despite its original defensive character, it underwent various modifications. Opposite it there is another hill with the ruins of the Salvatierra Castle, in the lands of Calzada de Calatrava. It probably has Arab origins, but it was deeply remodeled with the transfer of the knights of the Order from the Castle of Calatrava La Vieja (Carrión de Calatrava) in 1217, after the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa with the aim of consolidating the defensive line of Sierra Morena. In turn, it is made up of three walled enclosures and is accessed by the original road that was built on the occasion of the visit of Philip II through the Iron Gate, in red volcanic stone. Afterwards, we can find the Gate of the Arches, which allows entry into the parlatorio or courtyard of the convent, the courtyards, the church, the rooms and the refectory. Really, when you walk through it, you can imagine what happened in

The parish is from the early seventeenth century. It preserves the original transept from its foundation, the rest is an extension from the year 1926. During the work on the tower of the Parish Church in 1668, materials from it were used for the repair and construction of the hermitage. During the visit in 1728, the rosary was ordered to be prayed in the hermitage of Ntra. Sra. de los Remedios as was customary. During the first half of the 18th century, there were many alms given in wills for repairs to the hermitage. In June 1740, the Archbishopric was declared in ruinous state, supported by the devout neighbors and their brotherhood, proceeding to the construction of the transept, dressing room and sacristy, finishing in the year 1764. In August 1748 Doña María de la Concepción Ruiz de la Cadena y Ramírez, sent to Ntra. Mrs. de los Remedios and Mrs. Santa Bárbara fifteen hundred reales of fleece for the work and factory that was trying to be done in her hermitage. Once its reconstruction was completed, the image of Nuestro Padre Jesús de Nazareno, confirmed in a will of the year 1827, was transferred to said hermitage.

A project curated by Okuda San Miguel that has a wide selection of renowned international artists to turn the silos of the region into enormous works of art. "For Legends from La Mancha I have been inspired by characters from Almodovar's films and by legends and stories from the region's past, such as Don Quixote or the Knights Templar. Past and present under my geometric and surreal filter."

This Church was founded by the Order of Calatrava under the invocation of San Jorge Mártir as patron saint of the town and of the Order. It acted as the chapel of the Palacio de la Clavería located behind the Temple. It is a Church from the beginnings of the Modern Age, with additions in all subsequent centuries. It is made up of a single nave covered by a flat ceiling and exposed wooden beams, three chapels on the Gospel side and one on the Epistle side covered by domes. It has a large presbytery and a rectangular apse covered by a crooked dome, a choir at the foot on Tuscan columns and a tower with a 17th-century base with mid-20th-century finials. On the main Altar there is an image of Saint George and below it a crucified Christ carved in wood.

Renaissance building from the 16th century with elements from the 17th century. Its façade has an interesting doorway with a balcony and shields of Fernando de Córdoba, the Order's keystone. From the historical-artistic point of view, it is one of the most important monuments of the Order and Campo de Calatrava. Despite this, it remains unpublished and, unfortunately, in a critical state of neglect. House of the clavero, person who guarded the keys of the Convent of Calatrava. Currently in the rehabilitation phase.
