The Janowskie Forest Uroczyska is an area protected under the EU Natura 2000 program. It is an area of special natural values with an area of over 34,000. ha. There are 6 nature reserves within the area: Jastkowice, Lasy Janowskie, Imielty Ług, Szklarnia, Kacze Błota and Łęka. The Historical Trail runs here.

Zalew Janowski is an artificial lake located near Janów Lubelski, on the outskirts of the Janowskie Forests. The lake was created by damming the waters of the Wieprz River. The main purposes of its creation are water retention and the possibility of using the reservoir for recreational purposes. There are beaches, swimming areas, campsites and walking trails around the reservoir. You can rent a pedal boat.
