An unexpected mirror in the middle of the road. The lagoon appears tranquil, almost motionless, as if the landscape had decided to pause for a long time. Water, sky, and silence playfully merging. It's not a place to arrive in a hurry: it's one of those places that steals a few minutes without asking permission and returns them to you in the form of calm.

It was built in the 16th century and erected on the site of an earlier Romanesque church. Due to its location, it was used as a meteorological observatory in the 19th century.

This School Group (1917) was established on the initiative of Mr. Ismael Calvo Madroño, Councilor of Public Education and Senator of the Kingdom, born in Pozoantiguo.

Surrounded by grain fields and well-marked dirt roads, it offers a peaceful stretch for leisurely riding. The village retains its traditional layout, with a few adobe houses and a modest church, perfect for a short break or to refill water if you have time. Perfect for quickly connecting trails or towns, or for riding at a steady pace without any problems. A good option for gaining miles without complications before returning to the dirt terrain.

It's a unique stop on MTB or gravel routes through Tierra de Campos. Among adobe ruins, empty streets, and a solitary church, it offers a breathtaking and silent landscape, ideal for stopping and exploring with respect. Very close to the Villafáfila lagoons, it's also an excellent spot for birdwatching in the wild. Access is easy via flat, well-trodden trails, with no technical difficulties.
