10月 4, 2025, Denkmal für die Putxera
The monument pays homage to the "putxera," a traditional way of cooking bean stew typical of the Balmaseda region. The "putxera" is a special pot originally used by railway workers in the area. They used the heat from steam locomotives to cook their meals. The monument is made of iron and features a relief depiction of a steam locomotive, commemorating the origins of the "putxera."

A beautiful funerary hermitage on the lands of the noble Urrutia family, dating back to the 17th century. There is also a chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. It is one of the few funerary chapels in Bizkaia. The Urrutia family settled there in the mid-16th century and established a manor house with a palace, a chapel, three blacksmith shops, a mill, and other properties. Antonio Urrutia Salazar and Jeronima Atxuriaga Murga-Loizaga (the seventh lords and ladies of the Urrutia family) ordered the construction of the family's funerary chapel (or hermitage) in 1673. When Simón Urrutia Ermu, the last member of the family, died in 1889, the chapel disappeared. The chapel has a rectangular floor plan and masonry; however, the façade is made of stone. The front facade features a large, semi-arched door with a wrought iron grille. Through this door, the Urrutia family heard mass from the balcony of their palace in front of the chapel. Above the door is the family coat of arms, supported by two lions. Above the chapel is a bell tower with a stone statue of the Assumption of Mary; according to tradition, Mrs. Jeronima herself was the model for the Virgin Mary.

3月 23, 2023, Puente Viejo de Balmaseda
One of the most publicized civil constructions in Bizkaia. Its charm has always been highly appreciated by painters, photographers and travelers. The footbridge joins the two banks of the Cadagua River where the neighborhoods of El Cristo and San Lorenzo are located, respectively, a place that occupied a modest Jewish aljama until 1492. It has a cobbled pavement.

6月 22, 2016, Iglesia de San Severino de Balmaseda
It is built under the base of another previous hermitage. Exterior The church of San Severino, whose name recalls the old Jacobean road of Bizkaia, dates from the fifteenth century (Gothic church), although you can find some baroque additions, such as pinnacles and archangels. The main cover (next to City Hall) is very simple; it only has five pointed archivolts that do not have decoration and rose window in the upper part. The lateral cover presents / displays an arc of entrance pointed between 2 abutments with five archivolts of which only two are decorated. Under these is a large tympanum and mullion with the image of the Savior (San Severino: Jacobean Vocation). The tower and the bell tower, much more decorated and ornamented, are of Baroque style although built on a previous Gothic basement. It is the newest part of the church (18th century - 1726). The temple was restored at the beginning of the 18th century, due to its dilapidated condition. Inside The church is divided into three naves: a higher central and two lateral naves, which in turn are divided into four sections separated by 6 columns. The central nave ends in the apse that is the altar, which contains impressive stained glass windows from the 19th century. In the back part of the church is the choir with a Cavaille - Coll organ from the 19th century (1892). The roofs are made with ribbed vaults, the roofs of the lateral aisles being of simple ribbing, and those of the central nave with a complex ribbing. To this church, and in its primitive plant, lateral chapels were added, financed by the best families of the Villa. The most interesting of the three is that of the Urrutia family: chapel of the sixteenth century (gothic - late), which presents an altarpiece with a calvary, being very interesting its ribbed vault with an eight-pointed star shape and with vegetal decoration in its interior. It was the work of Juan de Rasines and is dated in 1545, as indicated by the inscription on the wall. The church has 5 tombs. The ones in the front right are from the Bermejillo family, the ones from behind are believed to be anonymous and the one from the left is from Zumalabe (S.XIV - from the previous hermitage).
