The path over the dam is impressive and the view over the Steusee is fantastic. On windy days, however, it can be unpleasant here.

Uli note note - old path is completely overgrown, you can still walk, but very tiring - tip: hike to the wonderful view of the dam wall, then turn around briefly and use the path with the arrow to go down

At the top of the fork, follow the path with the arrow, the old path is hardly accessible anymore

The first part of the hike is through the variety of different landscapes such as the river and light-filled cork oak forests, my wife would say "wildly romantic".

The Charco Redondo Reservoir is located in the heart of the Alcornocales Natural Park and can be visited by following a circular path known as El Palancar that starts right next to the A-381 motorway. A very quiet and picturesque place that is worth visiting.
