Dehesa area in the heart of the countryside

Rest area of the Vía verde de la Campiña. It has picnic tables and several trees for lounging in the shade.

Neoclassical style palace, from the 18th century, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. Inspiration for the design of the palace was the façade of the Palacio de las Necesidades, where the Spanish embassy in Lisbon was located.

Although it may seem incredible, this is the only natural lake in Andalusia. It is fed by underground freshwater aquifers and is as deep as 14 m in some points, also making it the deepest lagoon in the region. It is an ideal place for bird watching.

Cordoba municipality already very close to Seville. It is famous, among other things, for its quinces, grown in the extensive orchards on one side of the Genil River. On the other shore, olive trees and vines predominate, typical of the Cordoba countryside. Formerly the two shores were separate municipalities, one in Seville, Miragenil, and another in Córdoba called Puente de Don Gonzalo, but they were finally unified under a single Cordovan municipality in 1834, although Miragenil hardly grew.

The name of this pretty town comes from the river Genil, which runs through this town. Puente Genil has several examples of civil architecture, among them: Stewardship of the Dukes of Medinaceli, Teatro Circo, Casa Consistorial.

Puente Genil is a picturesque agricultural town whose name derives from the bridge over the Genil River. The Municipal Archaeological Museum has an impressive sample of Roman mosaics and remains of Roman tombstones. The culinary specialties of the area are salted fish, onion blood sausages, Iberian hams and stew.

A very well preserved historical complex and an emblematic place of the town.
