Constantina is a Spanish municipality in the province of Seville, Andalusia. It is located in the Sierra Morena, belongs to the judicial district of Cazalla de la Sierra, and is part of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park. In 2021, it had 5,864 inhabitants. Its area is 481.31 km² and the population density is 12.18 inhabitants/km². It lies at an altitude of 557 meters and 87 kilometers from the provincial capital, Seville.

The town preserves its Arab structure with steep and narrow streets as well as buildings from that time, in which the Arab fortress stands out. In its old town you can also see the Town Hall building, its Gothic church and the keep of its castle in the Plaza de Armas.

It is known that this bridge was ordered to be built by the Infante Ferdinand in 1410 due to his presence in these lands and the always necessary improvement of the Córdoba – Seville route on the right bank of the Guadalquivir. The works were almost completed in 1428 but stopped, a situation that continued for many years, apparently until a century later. It was a large bridge made of limestone ashlars. It preserves 9 basins, eight of them with their cutwaters clearly visible upstream, and 10 arches, three of them complete. The arches are semicircular and were built using wooden falsework, which is evidenced by the eight beveled mechinales that most of the piers maintain on their intrados. The bridge road is about 6 meters wide and, although it is not preserved, it surely must have had parapets on the sides.

Located between the municipalities of Hornachuelos and Espiel, this reservoir was built in the 50s of the last century. It collects the waters of numerous rivers and streams, among which the Benajarafe and the Névalo stand out, both belonging to the Guadalquivir hydrographic basin.
