Barbadillo de Herreros is a small town in the Sierra de la Demanda, surrounded by mountains, forests, and rivers, making it an ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts. The town sits on the banks of the Pedroso River, at over 1,100 meters above sea level, offering a fresh, natural setting perfect for mountain hikes. From here, you can climb to peaks such as San Millán Peak, the highest peak in Burgos at 2,132 meters. It is a peaceful place, with barely a hundred inhabitants, where traditional festivals such as that of the Virgen de Costana are still celebrated.
