The Lower Gate is the most emblematic entrance to Daroca and one of the most impressive defensive monuments in Aragon. Its two robust towers flank a large arch that, in addition to serving as a passageway, also facilitated the drainage of water during periods of heavy rain. Built between the 13th and 16th centuries, it reflects the military and architectural evolution of the city, with Gothic and Renaissance elements such as the gallery of arches and the imperial coat of arms of Charles V. Today, restored, it houses the Center for Daroca Studies and is a must-see for those exploring the city's walls and historic streets.

The fact of being a border city between regions and kingdoms has marked the history of one of the most suffered but at the same time beautiful cities in Aragon. At this point we find ourselves at the Lower Gate that welcomes us to the city through which we can tour its walls, built at different times, up to the old castle from which we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Daroca.

Located 1038 meters above sea level and on the path of La Lechera, we find this beautiful picture in the Collado de la Hermana with views of the top of Monte del Cortado

We find ourselves going up the ravine of the hortales, by the path known as the one of the Tía. It will guide us until we reach the North range of the Sierra de Algairén. Nice path with awesome views when you reach the top.
