spectacular route full of charm and tranquility

An aqueduct carrying water from the mountains to irrigate the valley. Behind it lies an old carbide mine, which was abandoned with the spread of electricity in the early 20th century. Until then, carbide was used for lighting.

Fantastic technical trail!!

This bridge is one of the many sites to see around Sant Joan de les Fonts. There is the church next to the bridge, behind the church there is a waterfall, farther down the trail there is another small church and a bit farther down there is an abandoned textile factory.

I rode this trail in October, 2023 and it had just been logged so it was in horrible condition. After the logging the trail disappeared and became a push through the forest following only the GPS. I will avoid it in the future hiking or biking unless it is repaired.

This section of this old Roman road is really quite nice. Climbing it is almost all rideable with only one or two small sections where you might need to dismount. Coming down it has to be fun and fast. It is interesting that it crosses right over one of the tunnels between Olot and Ripoll. Plus you pass some really nice Masias along the way.

This section of trail is very nice but a bit neglected. There are several places where you need to walk due to downed trees. It is well marked with yellow marks. Hopefully it will receive some maintenance making it fun and fast.

Hermitage and inhabited houses, I haven't seen a spring there but there are inhabited houses.
