A very beautiful pass with a moderate gradient, up to 712 meters. The asphalt is very good and there is hardly any traffic. It's easy to ascend and descend from both sides. It combines well with the neighboring Port de L'Oronet.

If you are returning to Valencia I highly recommend that you just continue on the asphalt road near Gatova (turn left). If you go back uphill like I did and then wade through the rocks you will just carry your bike and suffer

Currently there are two villages of Marines: new and old. This is because the same rains that caused the Turia floods of 1957 also caused landslides of huge rocks that destroyed numerous houses and forced them to move from their historical location to the current one on the plain, between Olocau and Llíria. The new village of Marines was also moved by residents of Domenyo and is larger than the old village. However, over time, the residents have restored the houses of the old village and, especially in summer, it is quite crowded.
