A town located in a very picturesque environment, on the slopes of the Montes de Toledo, in the Pusa valley that I recommend you see.

The route through the Hoz de Carboneros begins here, there is a flat area where you can park your car. La Hoz de Carboneros is a beautiful canyon that leads to beautiful waterfalls. It is a practically unsignposted route, except for two signs that we will find on the route.

Go up to Alto de las Paradas between oaks at 1154 masl. The climb from Navahermosa is 12.5 km, so take your time and moderate your effort.

This small town enjoys a privileged landscape thanks to the discreet but steep Sierra de la Valeruela as a backdrop. A good spoiler (or farewell) of the Cabañeros National Park that awaits behind.

The origin of the name of this town comes from the "lucillos", some stone sarcophagi left by the Visigoths and the Mozarabs. As in some other towns in the area, fire-related festivals are also celebrated here at the end of January, called las luminarias. In them, many bonfires are lit throughout the town and people eat and drink around them. Los Nalucillos is also one of the gateways to the Cabañeros National Park.

A few kilometers from the town of Hontanar is the channel of the Lanchas stream that crosses a beautiful landscape. You can get here by several alternative paths and tracks according to your preference and it is an ideal place to come for a picnic with the whole family on warm days.
