New and old organ, what a beautiful contrast.

Malmö has some of the most impressive modern buildings in Northern Europe, which contrast sharply with the charm of the old town. The Øresund Bridge, which became famous through the successful Swedish-Danish TV series "The Bridge - Transit to Death", is an 8-kilometer-long railway and motorway bridge that crosses the Øresund from Malmö to Copenhagen. It is the longest bridge of its kind in Europe.

Malmö - where tradition meets modernity Founded in the late 13th century, Malmö was originally part of Denmark and only fell to Sweden in 1658. The old town is a must-see on any sightseeing tour. It is an island in the center of the city and consists of two parts, the western district of Gamla Väster with its numerous historic buildings and the eastern district, which was brought back to life in the 1960s. Sooner or later you will inevitably come to Stortorget, the largest and oldest square in Malmö, which is surrounded by beautiful 16th century architecture. One block further to the northeast is Malmö's oldest building, the 14th century Gothic church of St. Peter.
