Ledesma still preserves a large part of the granite stone wall that has historically surrounded the entire town. Most of what remains today was built during the reign of Ferdinand II of León in the 12th century, although several sections were renovated in the 15th century with well-hewn stonework.

New Bridge Construction: Inaugurated on July 24, 1954, after decades of planning interrupted by the Spanish Civil War. Material: Cyclopean concrete.
