The Tagus River in Aranjuez is one of the most emblematic elements of the city's landscape and history. The Tagus flows through Aranjuez, creating a unique natural environment surrounded by historic gardens and palaces. Historical significance: Since the 16th century, the river has been key to the landscape design of Aranjuez, especially in the Prince's Gardens and Island Gardens, which are integrated with its banks.

The M-305 highway in Aranjuez passes by the Puente de la Reina (Queen's Bridge), a key point for accessing the Royal Estate of San Isidro and connecting with the Prince's Garden. From this point, Calle San Isidro, lined with linden and elm trees, leads directly to the Royal Estate of San Isidro. It is a paved secondary road with two lanes, connecting Aranjuez with Colmenar de Oreja and other nearby towns. It forms part of the southern access to the Royal Site of Aranjuez and is surrounded by historical and agricultural areas.

Origin: It dates back to the 16th century, when Philip II ordered its construction as a country residence and royal retreat. Architects: Juan Bautista de Toledo and Juan de Herrera, the same architects who worked on El Escorial. Styles: A blend of Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical, with Rococo details in the interior decoration. Heritage: Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001, along with the Aranjuez Cultural Landscape. It was the setting for royal weddings, treaties, and historical events such as the Peninsular War.

The Plaza Mayor of Ocaña (Toledo) is one of the most impressive examples of Castilian Baroque architecture and a must-see if you visit the La Mesa de Ocaña region. Construction: Ordered by Charles III in 1777, inspired by the Plaza Mayor of Madrid.
