A group of lakes formed in glacial cirques surrounded by peaks approximately 2,000 meters high. Between 1969 and 1972, a project was developed to transform the glacial complex for tourism and intensive fishing. Some of the consequences of this project included the alteration of moraines, land clearing, the creation of dams, and the construction of roads.

A very special place with large rocks shaped by nature giving rise to whimsical, strange and mysterious shapes. In 2022, a viewing point was opened that allows you to see extraordinary panoramic views of the Sierra de la Demanda and the Picos de Urbión.

It is interesting to see how the bridge has been restored with an intervention that respects its original construction. A wooden walkway reestablishes passage over the Duero, taking advantage of the old bridge but without altering it.

Asphalt forest track to the Bonicaparra refuge. A very nice climb, especially recommended in autumn when the beech forest is bursting with colour.

Shelter located in the Umbría mountain range, it has a fountain and is the starting point of the route that leads to the Piedra Andadera. The shelter is enabled to make food, with prior reservation and payment at the Covaleda town hall.
