The Wehe post mill (Mill Route No. 22) is probably the oldest windmill in the Minden-Lübbecke district that has been continuously documented at its current location. First mentioned in 1370, it has been documented in its current form as a post mill since 1650. It was powered by wind power until 1944, and from the beginning of the 20th century onward, it was powered by motor power until it was shut down in 1953.
