Espiel is a Spanish municipality in the province of Córdoba, Andalusia. In 2019 it had 2,397 inhabitants. Its surface area is 437.26 km² and it has a density of 5.69 inhabitants/km².

This mountain pass is located on the CO-6410 highway between the towns of Villaharta and Pozoblanco in the heart of the Sierra Morena.
