Zahara is a nice village, but nothing more. There's not much to do (out of season, when we were there). The streets in Zahara are challenging, both for driving and walking.

It's a picturesque whitewashed village in the Sierra de Grazalema mountains, with cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and a stunning natural setting. Its Nasrid Quarter, a medieval vestige, is particularly noteworthy.

This is one of the region's legendary climbs. Light traffic, excellent road surface, beautiful curves, and some 12% gradients make this climb a must-do if you're in the area. Add to that the spectacular views you get as you climb, and you've got a climb you'll want to repeat all year round.

A very important pedestrian plaza in Ronda, it had to be completely restored after the War of Independence against the French. It houses important buildings, such as the Church of Socorro with its two bell towers, and the noble Casino building, where the congress was held a century ago and the Andalusian flag was created. Right in the center, the plaza houses a fountain depicting Hercules, columns, and lions alluding to the symbols of Andalusia, and behind it a sculpture in homage to Blas Infante. The plaza is fully accessible. There is a parking lot.

From the new bridge there is a good view of Puente Viejo: an old stone bridge that is one of three bridges that spans the deep Tajo de Ronda gorge with the Guadalevín river in it.

The Jardines de Cuenca in Ronda are a picturesque example of the harmonious combination of nature and architecture. They are located on the north side of the Tajo Gorge. The gardens were named in honour of the city of Cuenca in Castile-La Mancha, a twin city of Ronda. The gardens are laid out in several terraces that run along the slope of the gorge. This staggered structure is typical of many Andalusian gardens.

The Puente Nuevo, or New Bridge, is one of Ronda’s most iconic landmarks. Construction of the Puente Nuevo began in 1751 and was completed in 1793, meaning it took 42 years to complete. The bridge is a beautiful example of 18th-century Spanish architecture. It is made entirely of stone and has three large arches that span the Guadalevín River Gorge. The Puente Nuevo is approximately 98 metres high, which gives it breathtaking views of the gorge and surrounding nature. The bridge connects the old Moorish part of Ronda with the new part of the city. It has a small museum inside the bridge itself, where you can learn more about the history and construction of the bridge. The Puente Nuevo is one of Ronda’s most popular tourist attractions, and is a must-see for anyone visiting the city.

The monument was created by the sculptor Nacho Martín and inaugurated in 2005 as a tribute to the fighting bull, considered the cornerstone of the bullfighting festival. The work pays tribute to the cultural, historical and symbolic importance of the fighting bull in the tradition of Ronda, a city with a close link to the world of bullfighting. The Ronda bullring is one of the most symbolic venues for bullfighting and this tribute highlights the city's link with the festival and its essential elements.

The Plaza del Socorro was an important place during Spanish political history. In 1918, the first Andalusian flag was raised here, making the square a symbol of Andalusian identity. Surrounded by historic buildings and cultural highlights, this square is ideal for enjoying the atmosphere of Ronda. A place full of history, a cultural heart of Ronda and a symbol of Andalusian tradition.

The Puente Nuevo is certainly the most famous landmark in the city of Ronda. It spans the spectacular El Tajo gorge, which separates the old town "La Ciudad" from the newer town "El Mercadillo". The bridge is about 98 meters high and was built in the 18th century to connect the two parts of the city. Construction of the bridge began in 1751, took 42 years and was completed in 1793. The structure is made of solid stone and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the gorge below. Inside the bridge there is a small room that was previously used as a prison. A symbol of the impressive architecture and history of Ronda. The Puente Nuevo in Ronda is a real highlight and an absolute must for those looking for impressive views and an unforgettable experience. A visit to the Puente Nuevo is therefore not only a visual highlight, but also an experience that combines history, nature and adventure. There are places you should visit at least once. This is definitely one of them! The fascinating impressions leave a lasting impression.
