The interior consists of a single nave with side chapels connected by doors. The nave has a ribbed ceiling, and since the late 16th century, a gallery has traversed the perimeter. The church was renovated from 1723 onward by the Lacarre brothers, Pablo Diego Ibáñez, who transformed the entire interior, making it the most magnificent and spectacular church in the city and a model for other later churches. The main altarpiece, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, was also created by Brother Lacarre. It is a spectacular collection of gold, red, green, blue, and pink, as well as 18 life-size sculptures in the Baroque style at the transition from Rococo. Founded in 1507 by the Counts of Sástago, Beatriz de Luna, and Blasco de Aragón, it is the first Charterhouse built in the Kingdom of Aragon. The current monastery, built in the 18th century, is an impressive architectural complex in the late Baroque style.
