Uleila del Campo is a small town located on the southern slopes of the Sierra de los Filabres, at the foot of Monteagud Hill. The Torre del Pirulico, also known as the Torre Horadada or Torre del Peñón, is an ancient coastal watchtower located in Mojácar. This tower was built between the 12th and 14th centuries during the Nasrid period and was used to warn the population of threats from the sea, especially pirate attacks. The tower has a truncated cone shape and stands 10 meters high. At its base, there is an arch that allows one to pass through it, giving it its name Torre Horadada. Entrance is through a door located approximately 7 meters high, accessible via a fixed metal staircase. From the tower's roof, one can enjoy stunning views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.
