Unfortunately, the destroyed church is still surrounded by a construction fence.

The cathedral was built over a pilgrimage church from 1511. In 1515, construction began on a Mudejar-style church. In the 17th century, specifically in 1618, Bishop Antonio Carrionero had the church built, and in the 18th century some side chapels were added inside. The building in its current appearance in neo-Gothic style dates from between 1904 and 1915. It consists of three naves with cross vaults. The right tower was built in 1916. The neoclassical façade is a reconstruction from 1825.

El Calvario is a complex with the Alhóndiga and the fountain, the work of Maribel Sánchez Bonilla. Located on Calle El Calvario and the beginning of Calle La Herrería, it sits on a triangular island. It is surrounded by pine trees, some of which claim that they are the remains of the boundary of the old forest that descended from the heights of the municipality.
