HBO filmed some outdoor scenes for season 6 of Game of Thrones at the cathedral and its famed steps. The cathedral stands in for the Great Sept house of worship, with special effects altering parts of the building and the steps, in two episodes of season 6, "Blood of My Blood" and "The Winds of Winter".

The stairs of Girona Cathedral are one of the most legendary places in the city and lead to the doors of this enormous church with one of the largest naves in Europe. Beautiful streets (Jewish alley) that surround it, made of cobblestones and with history behind them. It's always time to go up the total stairs to know how many there are!

So the bridge was built in 1877 by the Gustave Eiffels company (10 years before the Eiffel Tower). However, the design was not provided by the famous engineer himself, but by the local architect Manuel Almeda ten years earlier.

From May 13 to 21 is the Temps de Flores and they put flower exhibitions all over the center of Gerona. It is spectacular to see. I recommend it 100%
