Beautiful Blanes beach. Unfortunately pretty empty in February

Blanes am Strand 🏖

Romanesque hermitage on the Turo del Mateix (hill above the town of Blanes).

Nice path with restaurants and a fine beach. ATTENTION: The Tordera estuary (far west) cannot be crossed on the beach as it is a nature reserve.

The small rocky island can be visited on foot from Blanes Bay. There are all sorts of shops and restaurants all around. And actually: This is roughly where the border between Costa Brava (towards the northeast) and Costa del Maresme (towards the southwest) runs.

S'Abanell beach in Blanes is one of the longest beaches on the Costa Brava in Spain. It stretches for about 2.5 kilometers and offers fine golden sand and crystal clear water. The beach is very popular with tourists and locals alike and offers a variety of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, water sports and boat trips. There is also a promenade along the beach where one can stroll and enjoy the view. If you get tired of walking, there are also a variety of restaurants, bars and shops that make for a pleasant atmosphere to spend time in.
