I prefer the road option, but the Gorges cannot be compared to the Bourne Gorge that follows. Still a beautiful landscape.

Nice little place, the climb up to here is still manageable. Nice views nonetheless.

Incredible Écouges tunnel, cut into the rock. Now lit, but it's better to bring a lamp.

Narrow and winding mountain road that at some points connects the valley with the Vercors plateau. Stop to admire and immortalize sublime landscapes. A road to pedal calmly. Stunning Bourne Gorges that sometimes have a very narrow path under the rock. To do it by bike if you are a cyclist, park in St Nazaire en Royans, stop at Pont en Royans, then slowly climb the gorges to enjoy the view, it is magnificent, on the way back go through St Julien and go down the Goulets. It's worth the detour. In summer, early in the morning, you will be in the shade, and when it is very windy on the plain, you will not feel it.
