From Saint Pierre you pass through Entrement le veux and arrive at the top of Col de Granier, if you take the first right towards Col de Marcieu until Saint Hillaire de Touvet and descend into the valley to Grenoble, very calm, rolling and bucolic

When climbing Col de l’Épine (987m) from Novalaise, the Vacheresse road (D42a) can be seen on the left at 1600m from the pass. It allows you to join the road that leads to the Mont du Chat relay (1504m) via its west face (the one opposite the climb via Bourget du Lac).
