4月 7, 2025, Col du Granier
From Saint Pierre you pass through Entrement le veux and arrive at the top of Col de Granier, if you take the first right towards Col de Marcieu until Saint Hillaire de Touvet and descend into the valley to Grenoble, very calm, rolling and bucolic

2月 8, 2024, Fontaine des Éléphants
It was erected in homage to General Count de Boigne (1751-1830). After acquiring fame and fortune in India, he was the great benefactor of Chambéry, his hometown. The Elephant Fountain, nicknamed the “4 without ass” recalls the Indian military campaigns of the general whose bronze statue dominates the monument. Benoît de Boigne is said to have given Chambéry more than a third of his fortune brought from India. The city owes him the opening of the rue de Boigne, the construction of the theater, a college, a retirement home, a begging depot and many other charitable foundations.

The fountain was built between 1835 and 1838 by the Grenoble sculptor Pierre-Victor Sappey to commemorate the exploits of the Marathas in India and of the Count of Boigne after his death in 1830. At that time it was initially called the Boigne Column.[3] The municipal council of Chambéry launched a competition to find the sculptor who could carry out the work. In total, the city counted 17 proposed projects and finally chose this sculptor's project due to its originality and low cost. The Elephant Fountain was finally inaugurated on December 10, 1838.[5] The statue stands at the intersection of Rue de Boigne and Boulevard du Théâtre, two main axes of downtown Chambéry that were built in the 19th century. Under the Vichy regime, the dismantling and melting of the statue of General de Boigne was investigated as part of the collection of non-ferrous metals. The authorities decided to spare her given the difficulty and expense of the work of lowering her from the pillar. The dismantling and melting down of the statue was decided in April 1944 as part of a new wave of requisitions. The implementation could not take place thanks to the exemption.[6]

It is one of the most important mountain passes in the Tour de France and one of the toughest that the Alps announce. Its more than 1100 meters can be seen from different points in the Gresivaudan valley and its neighboring mountain of Les Bages.
