The cathedral, which is mainly late Gothic, is made entirely of limestone. Inside the three-aisled building with a transept, the wall elevation is three storeys high, with the triforium in the nave, framed by cranked cornices, designed as a walkway, but in the choir - which is surrounded by a ring of chapels - it is lighted through. The Roman baths of Vieil-Évreux are the remains of a Roman bath complex in the ancient town of Gisacum.
