The Canal de la Bruche is a canal in eastern France that originally connected Soultz-les-Bains near Molsheim with the city of Strasbourg. It was built in 1682 by the famous military engineer Vauban, primarily to transport sandstone from the Soultz quarries for the construction of Strasbourg's fortifications.

It is located in the picturesque Neustadt (German Quarter) directly on the Ill River. Its prominent location invites photography. The façade is lined with two 76-meter-high towers. The style and color scheme are inspired by St. Elizabeth's Church in Marburg. St. Paul's Church has a seating capacity of 2,000 people.
